Tina graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2007 (Bachelor’s in Accounting, Minor in Leadership Studies) and 2008 (Master’s in Accounting). After completing two internships at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC) in Boston, MA during college, she worked for PwC for two years and The TJX Companies, Inc. in Framingham, MA for four years. After realizing that being a tax accountant was not as fulfilling as she had hoped (and much deliberation), Tina went back to school full time and received her Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut (UConn) in May 2016. During her two years at UConn, Tina completed a graduate assistantship at their Center for Career Development and two practicum experiences: one with the UConn College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Advising unit and another with the Eastern Connecticut State University’s Intercultural Center. In addition, she was the Alumni Relations Coordinator for her program’s student group planning events and workshops for professional and career growth. Tina’s husband’s job brought them to Portland, OR In August 2016, she has been working at Washington State University Vancouver as a Career Counselor since October 2016, and has been Secretary of OCDA since June 2017. She looks forward to meeting more OCDA members and becoming even more involved in our professional development.
