Rick Eugene Maas is an academic advisor and instructor at Portland Community College.  He has years of experience in the strategic creation of academic plans, actively engaging students in academic and career pursuits through self-empowerment and celebration of success, and guiding students through their educational decision-making process.  A past graduate of the Educational Leadership & Policy program with an emphasis on Post-Secondary and Adult Continuing Education through Portland State University.  Rick is a college success and survival instructor at PCC, where he works with students in developing motivational and goal-setting skills, and assists students in the adoption of tools to influence lifelong learning and find success and accomplishment.  Rick spends his free time playing and composing music for the piano and chasing his two cats back and forth.
