Mary Vance manages the Institute for Sustainable Solutions funded Sustainability Internship Program and is a career counselor in the Office of Advising and Career Services. She connects students across the University with high impact sustainability internship experiences and green job opportunities, works with sustainability employers to develop internships and jobs, and provides university faculty with career and internship information and resources. She holds Master's degrees in Counseling (University of Maryland, College Park), and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Teachers College, Columbia University); and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish (University of Colorado, Boulder). She currently serves on the Portland State University Internship Advisory Board. She is a nationally certified counselor and master career counselor and is a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers and the National Career Development Association.
